Terms of Use

Chapter I

You are entering into an agreement with us, Docamí, S.A.P.I. de C.V. (“Docamí”, “we”, or "us"), creators and operators of the Docamí® Virtual Physician's Assistants ("Virtual Assistants") and the website docami.mx ("Website"). Our addresses for receiving notifications are: hola@docami.mx and Calle Gabino Barreda 110, Colonia San Rafael, Alcaldía Cuauhtémoc, Postal Code 06470, Mexico City, Mexico.

This agreement describes the terms under which you can use the Virtual Assistants, our Website, and all associated content and functionalities (collectively referred to as "Services"). You can use our Services either as an individual user or on behalf of another person, such as being their parent, guardian, or custodian.

By using the Services, you accept these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy, available at https://www.docami.mx/en/privacidad. If you use the Services on behalf of another person, you accept these terms for them.

Chapter II

Our Services

At Docamí, we develop Virtual Physician's Assistants to facilitate and streamline communication between doctors and their patients via WhatsApp.

When your doctor provides you with the number of their Virtual Assistant, you can chat with it to receive various services:

  • Patient Chart Integration: Collection of your symptoms and medical history to create a detailed chart of your case.
  • Delivery of the Personalized Medical Management Plan: Information provided by your doctor based on your chart, such as prescriptions for the medications you need to take, diagnosis, recommendations for your recovery, orders for tests, and instructions on what to do in case of an emergency.
  • Support: Continuous support and follow-up during your recovery based on the plan created by your doctor.

Your doctor provides access to their Virtual Assistant at no cost to you. Although doctors affiliated with Docamí use our Virtual Assistants, they remain independent professionals and not our employees. Any payment you make through a link provided by a Virtual Assistant will be for your doctor's fees and not for the use of our Services.

If you have a medical emergency, please seek immediate help!
Your doctor's response time may vary, and this medium may not be the most suitable in emergency situations.

Chapter III

We provide the Services only to individuals over 18 years old who are located in Mexico. By using our Services, you confirm that you meet these criteria. The Services are not designed to attract individuals under 18 years old. However, affiliated doctors will not deny care to minors. For patients under 12 years old, doctors will strictly require the presence of a parent or guardian.

Access to the Services may not be legal for certain individuals or in certain countries. If you access the Services from outside Mexico, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for complying with local laws.

If you do not agree with these Terms of Use or our data practices described in our Privacy Policy, please refrain from accessing our Website or using our Services.

Chapter IV

Health Information Notice

Our Virtual Assistants are designed to facilitate communication between patients and doctors. They do not provide medical diagnoses or treatments. Any medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or recommendation you receive through a Virtual Assistant comes directly from your doctor and their corresponding plan. The medical relationship and care you receive are directly between you and your doctor.

While Docamí facilitates this communication, we do not offer medical services ourselves and are not responsible for any advice received from your doctor through our Services.

The content on the Website is for informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnoses, treatments, or recommendations. Always consult qualified healthcare professionals for any personal health questions or concerns. Docamí is not responsible for the accuracy of any information found on our Website.

Doctors affiliated with Docamí can publish content on our Website on their own behalf. The recommendations and opinions in these articles are the responsibility of the authoring doctor and do not constitute a recommendation by us. The fact that a doctor publishes on the Website does not imply that we endorse them in particular.

Chapter V

Changes to Terms and Services

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use periodically. Such updates take immediate effect and influence how you use our Services moving forward. However, changes to how we handle conflicts won't affect ongoing cases known to both parties before the updates are posted. By continuing to use the Services after we post updated Terms, you’re agreeing to those updates. Please regularly review this page to stay informed about any changes.

We occasionally update the content and functionality of our Services, but please note that not all information may be current or complete. At any time, some materials may be outdated, and we are not required to refresh them.

Chapter VI

Service Access and Security

To use our Services, you must agree to receive messages from your doctor's Virtual Assistant via WhatsApp and provide information that is accurate, current, and complete. Our Privacy Policy, available at https://www.docami.mx/en/privacidad, details how we handle your information.

You must keep your WhatsApp access details confidential. If you suspect unauthorized use of your account or detect a security breach, notify us immediately.

We reserve the right to disable access to our Service from any WhatsApp number in case of violation of these Terms of Use.

We may modify or discontinue the Services at any time and without prior notice. We assume no responsibility if the Services become inaccessible for any reason.
